Cron job for maintenance branch

I just pushed a maintenance branch and scheduled a cron job for it.

I suspect that it'll fail with the same issues we were seeing on the 0.24.2 release PR. Will debug further if so.

And I removed the skipping of the tests again (#45), all is green now (since the needed patches have been backported on the pandas side).
