System VMs and VRs can only be deployed on cloudstack hosts, not proxmox

3. How to storages works?

VMs are deployed on local-lvm storage on proxmox, not on cloudstack primary storage pools

Currently, CPU, memory of external hosts are not retrieved by the extension and they will be always shown zero. This needs to be worked upon in the next iteration.
As currently, CloudStack will not be making use of those values, so it would not affect.

Do I understand correctly that in order to be able to manage Proxmox you need to have a working cluster on kvm, xen? What's the point?

if you do not need System VMs and VRs, you can try with Edge zone with L2 networks

does it make sense @shwstppr ?

@weizhouapache Edge zones are basically tested for KVM. I'm not sure if they would work for External hypervisor.

@UAnton The point is to have a technical preview for extensions framework in 4.21. It may need some work to be useful for everyone and that would be gradual process. You can collaborate and contribute if you feel functionalities are missing.
