Positioning of objects does not line up with grid

When using functions like setXPos or setYPos, etc., the object being moved is not in line with the grid.
Screenshot of the issue:

As the screenshot shows, the box is set to an x position of 1, yet the box is not in the center of the line for the grid position of x = 1.

Currently we don't have a permanent fix as discussed last meeting @jf-kelly 's PR only fixes this issue at close proximity to the grid's origin
