This pull request updates the markdown links in CONTRIBUTING.md to use shortcut reference links. However, because there are no corresponding link reference definitions at the bottom of the file, these will render as plain text instead of working links. It is recommended to use direct relative links instead, such as [DEBUGGING.md](DEBUGGING.md) and [TESTING.md](TESTING.md).
